A Mother's Promise & Contract with Her Children

What's past is past. From this day forward,

I promise to be the perfect Mom and even if I fall short of this goal,

I will never quit trying with all my heart to give you the very best things in life. I've spoken with each of you, and searched your hearts,

to find what was lacking.

Record message of DS and address each child individually

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 13:24 He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.

Colossians 3:19-21 Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with

them. 20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. 21 Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.

Ephesians 6:1-4 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 "Honor your father and mother"-- which is the first commandment with a promise-- 3 "that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth." 4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Luke 17:1-4 Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. 2 It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. 3 So watch yourselves. "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. 4 If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him."
